While our own picturesque Woods Hole offers a plethora of dining options, you can find even more restaurants in Falmouth which has a diverse and vibrant culinary scene. Whether you’re a seafood aficionado, a fan of all-things-breakfast, or simply seeking a memorable dining experience, Falmouth has something to offer for every palate. Here we’ll take you on a delightful journey through the culinary landscape of Falmouth, highlighting some of the must-visit restaurants and eateries that make this coastal town a food lover’s paradise.


Dining in Falmouth, Cape Cod: Breakfast

On the hunt for breakfast? There are many fantastic restaurants offering vast breakfast menus across downtown Falmouth that are perfect for a leisurely morning. If you’re looking for that classic diner feel, Betsy’s Diner is a great first stop. Their menu features an exciting mix of special omelets, breakfast sandwiches, benedicts, and more. Better yet, they also offer a gluten-free menu! Located just a couple blocks away is another classic breakfast outpost, Country Fare Restaurant, with a wide selection of savory options and an especially sweet pancake and french toast menu including blueberry, cranberry, apple cinnamon, banana, chocolate chip, walnut and granola. If you have picky eaters in your party, it’s worth checking out Persy’s Place past the Falmouth Village Green. This locally owned family breakfast joint boasts “New England’s Largest Breakfast & Brunch Menu,” meaning there is a little something for everyone to enjoy. 


Nearby you’ll find Coffee Obsession which should be at the top of your list for great coffee and grab and go breakfast and lunch options. This cute coffee shop is a favorite among the locals, and for good reason! Whether you’re on the hunt for a cold brew, cappuccino, or simple drip coffee – Coffee Obsession has it all, and more! As an added bonus, they offer a handful of dairy free and gluten free options. Plus they have another location in Woods Hole and it’s an absolute favorite among our staff and guests.


Some mornings, you just don’t have the time to sit and enjoy a full meal. Luckily, there are so many bakeries and cafes nearby that allow you to just grab-and-go! One of our favorite places is Maison Villatte, a highly sought-after French Bakery that offers freshly baked pastries, breads, tarts, and more on the daily. 


And while it’s a bit of a walk from downtown Falmouth we’d be remiss to miss Cape Cod Bagel. This is a true Falmouth staple that serves fresh, homemade bagels with their very own cream cheese varieties, as well as some of the tastiest breakfast sandwiches around.


Dining in Falmouth, Cape Cod: Seafood


Falmouth’s proximity to the Atlantic Ocean means that seafood enthusiasts are in for a real treat. This coastal town offers a handful of delicious seafood restaurants – many of which can be found downtown! If you’re looking for lobster rolls and classic surf & turf, it’s work taking a look at The Quarterdeck. This historic restaurant boasts some of the freshest seafood around, and offers an interesting rustic atmosphere that reminds you of sailing vessels from the town’s bygone whaling era. And should you tire of seafood their burgers are big, juicy and beloved! Another great addition to Main Street’s seafood scene is Hooked Bar & Grill, serving up fresh Cape Cod fare in a lively bar-and-restaurant setting right in the heart of downtown. Their menu leans into local seafood classics — think stuffed quahogs, fresh fish specials, and some of the best clam chowder around — alongside a full bar and a laid-back, welcoming vibe whether you’re grabbing a quick bite at the bar or settling in for a full meal. Open daily from 11:30 AM to 10 PM, it’s an easy stop whether you’re downtown for lunch or looking for a casual dinner spot later in the day.


What’s better than an ocean view? The Flying Bridge Restaurant is a fantastic local seafood favorite that sits on the Falmouth Harbor. Their menu offerings include a raw bar, fish fresh off the dock, lobster, sushi, and so much more – with quite a few options for those who don’t eat fish, like their Sticky Chicken, or an option off of their vegetarian menu. 


If fried seafood is what you’re after, you’re in luck. Jim’s Clam Shack on the Falmouth harbor is a classic Cape Cod experience. Order from the take out window, grab a waterside picnic table or a seat on their roof deck and dig in to some of the best fried seafood around. Seafood Sam’s is another great option, this indoor-outdoor seafood eatery is a staple when it comes to fried seafood for visitors and locals alike! Their vast menu, larger portions, and easy counter service also make this restaurant a great place to bring the whole family (including little ones!). 


Dining in Falmouth Cape Cod: International Cuisine


While seafood is undoubtedly a highlight, Falmouth’s dining scene offers international cuisine that adds a global touch to your culinary adventure. We particularly enjoy dining at Añejo, a stylish Mexican Bistro in the heart of downtown Falmouth that boasts an incredible tequila menu and a handful of Mexican specialties. On the other hand, if you’re looking for more authentic Mexican cuisine, Casa Vallarta is the place to be. This family-owned restaurant features large portions of traditional and delicious Mexican fare, and is a great spot to bring the family. If you’re lucky you might even witness a performance from an authentic Mariachi band!

Craving Chinese-inspired cuisine? Check out Asia, and savor authentic Chinese fusion for lunch or dinner with dishes like Kung Pao Beef, Crispy Spring Rolls, and Sweet & Sour Chicken. Customers love their bold flavors and warm hospitality. Asia also has a second location in Mashpee Commons.

Experience the aromatic flavors of Italy when visiting Osteria La Civetta, an intimate and romantic restaurant that features a warm ambiance and genuine Italian cuisine. Be sure to save room for theirr desserts, which are homemade and truly indulgent. In the mood for Greek instead? Try Asti, a modern downtown eatery that celebrates the vibrant flavors of Greece and the wider Mediterranean region with a menu that showcases the beauty of simplicity and fresh ingredients.

In 2026 the team behind Devour opened Rebel Room, a 1920s-inspired cocktail bar and conversation lounge offering small plates and bar snacks.


Elevate your dining experience to new heights with a visit to The Glass Onion, an elegant eatery with a 1920s vibe that pairs refined New American cooking with global wines. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and their tasty daily specials will have you coming back for more in no time! 


When it comes to satisfying comfort food cravings, Little Rossa Pizzeria & Espresso Bar (formerly Simply Divine Pizza Co). takes the cake (or should we say, the slice?). This Italian Pizzeria offers hand tossed, stone-fired pizza in a Neapolitan tradition. From classic Margherita to inventive gourmet combinations, each pizza is crafted with love and attention to detail. But Little Rossa Pizzeria isn’t just about the pies. Their menu extends to gourmet salads, sandwiches, pasta, daily entrée specials, and a full bar featuring wine, award-winning craft beer, spirits and cocktails.
