Taste your way through Cape Cod on an ice cream tour! 

Upper Cape

Bourne: Starting in Bourne, visit Mic’s Main Scoop at 100 Main Street. Mic’s is open every day except Tuesdays! The delicious menu features a number of unique milkshakes and sundaes as well as premium flavors. There are also frozen yogurt, dairy free, and soft serve options. 

Falmouth: Moving onto Falmouth, try Ben & Bill’s Chocolate Emporium. This ice cream stop has been around since the 1950s and has stores across Massachusetts and Maine. The ice cream is made fresh each day and had a variety of dessert options including over 60 flavors of ice cream and 12 types of gelato. 

Sandwich: Next, visit Twin Acres Ice Cream Shoppe in Sandwich! This ice cream shop offers over 70 flavors of hard serve, soft serve, sorber, sherbert, vegan, and no sugar added ice cream. They even have gluten-free cones available upon request. Try out a milkshake or specialty sundae! Twin Acres Ice Cream Shoppe also serves Italian sausage rolls and hot dogs with potato chips. You can even get a pup cup of vanilla ice cream and a treat for your furry friend!

Mashpee: Move onto Mashpee and visit the Polar Cave Ice Cream Parlour. Now offering gluten free and vegan waffle cones and bowls, there is an option for everyone! Along with traditional flavors, try unique mixes such as Baby Bear Bubble Gum, Eggnog, Finger, Purple Penguin, and more! The Polar Cave also offers no sugar added/fat free ice creams made with skim milk and sweetened with splenda as well as lactose free ice cream and low fat yogurts. The Polar Cave is open Thursday-Monday from 2 pm to at least 9 pm!

Mid-Cape

Hyannis: The first stop in the Mid Cape is the Kandy Korner in Hyannis. Along with delicious ice cream, try out their salt water taffy, fudge, and chocolates! The Kandy Korner is open year round and offers many of Cape Cod’s favorites including chocolate covered cranberries, jellies and jams. The Kandy Korner makes their taffy homemade, daily, and cooked the old fashion way to ensure the best quality and flavor. 

Barnstable: Visit Hallet’s Store just outside Barnstable to see one of the oldest businesses on Cape Cod and to enjoy delicious ice cream. Hallet’s Store is a working museum where you can step back in time. Built in 1889, the store was the highlight of town with ice cream, souvenirs, and special drinks. Alongside ice cream and frozen yogurt, stop in to enjoy sandwiches, chowder, and more! 

Yarmouth: Next, visit Cape Cod Creamery in South Yarmouth! Try delicious Cape Cod flavors named after towns, beaches, and more throughout Cape Cod such as Monomoy Mud Pie or Nauset Peach. Cape Cod Creamery also offers sorbet and yogurt as well as vegan flavors and sugar-free ice creams. 

Dennis: Stop by the Kream ‘N Kone in West Dennis for a meal and ice cream! Along with delicious seafood plates, sandwiches, and salads, enjoy a frappe, soft serve, or ice cream sundae. The Kream ‘N Kone was established in 1953 as a ice cream stand selling hotdogs and hamburgers. As the restaurant grew, so did the menu! 

Lower Cape

Brewster: As you move into the Lower Cape, visit the Brewster Scoop! The Scoop serves over 30 flavors of ice cream, sundaes, floats, and frappes. If you are interested in trying a unique flavor, try Cocunut Almond Bar or Cowabunga Crunch. 

Harwich: Next, visit the Sundae School in Harwich Port which opened in 1976! Sundae School ice cream is made fresh all year round! Enjoy a sundae, frappe, ice cream soda, or more with delicious ice cream flavors such as Amaretto Nut or Bass River Mud. Not only can you visit Sundae School in Hawich Port, but also in Orleans and Dennisport!

Truro: Stop by Savory & Sweet Escape in Truro for a bite to eat and a delicious treat! Enjoy a delicious sandwich, pizza, or salad on the Savory side. Next, try unique flavors such as Ryder Beach Rubble or Cranberry Bog at Sweet Escape.
