Spring is a delightful time to visit as the area awakens from its winter slumber. Here at the Sands of Time, we typically open for the season in mid-April. The temperatures are mild, the crowds are thinner, and the landscape bursts into vibrant colors. Here are a few of our favorite things to enjoy nearby in the spring months.

Highfield Hall & Gardens: Highfield Hall is a historic mansion surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens. In spring, the gardens are in full bloom, offering a stunning display of tulips, daffodils, and other spring flowers. Stroll through the paths, enjoy the sculptures, and perhaps attend one of the many cultural events hosted here.

Spohr Gardens: Another must-visit spot in spring is Spohr Gardens, located along Oyster Pond. This serene six-acre garden is a hidden gem, featuring a dazzling array of azaleas, daffodils, and rhododendrons. The peaceful trails and waterfront views make it an ideal location for a leisurely walk.
